In a report to Council – released this week – the Town of Oliver has decided to award the former Speaker of the Legislature and former area MLA, Bill Barisoff,  a special award – Freedom of the City. The decision made at an in-camera meeting March 25th of this year and is part of a long list of private resolutions released to the public.

The presentation will be made later this month to Barisoff once arrangements are complete.
