578 people are participating in the Oliver Half Ironman today – Surrey triathlete Nathan Killam is wearing a gold medal for his performance of swim, bike and run time of 4 hours 16 minutes and 31 secs. Last year’s top performer Luke Way of Kelowna at 4:22:23

Top female triathlete: Christine Fletcher of Vancouver at 4:52:58. Last year it was Kirsten Baker at 4:52:20

At this point in the race Oliver Rotary is working the BBQ for all those meals in the arena. Thanks to all the Oliver volunteers and the organizers for another year – the 10th.
