Three capital projects not in the 2013 approved budget are getting a lot of interest at the Oliver Parks and Recreation Society meetings.

1. New change rooms on the arena – cost – site photo at right

2. New tiling on the hot tub at the pool – cost $18 thousand has been complete – needed to be done to get the pool open with safety issues related to completion of this project.

3. New weight room – extension of building south of Room #3 – cost $80 thousand plus but could be more.

The first project #1 has cleared the hurdle of going to the RDOS board for a change of budget amendment – it passed.

#2 is complete but needs an okay to adjust the budget. The last project is ready to go out for building drawings has not been approved but may have to wait for budget discussion on the 2014 budget.
