On May 27th 2013 a property representative for the St Edwards Anglican Church located on Nicola Street, Oliver reported that at some point overnight the Church had been broken into. The thief / thieves took a significant amount of time and effort to enter the church. Once inside approximately $1100 in tithes/offerings was taken from a locked cabinet.  All cabinets were rummaged through and there was some damage to Church property.  Some local youth were seen in the area between 10 and 11 PM however they may not necessarily have been involved considering that this is a common gathering place for some of our young people.

Although there is the potential for forensic evidence, the Oliver RCMP would appreciate any information from the public.  This information can be provided directly to the police or via Crime Stoppers.  File # 2104 2013-1979 refers.  Cst STERMSCHEG is the Primary Investigator attached to this file.
