Poor pollination caused by the cold and wind and a late frost have damaged this year’s crop of cherries in the South Okanagan.

Cherry farmer Greg Norton says his crop will be less than 50% and he believes based on reports that Osoyoos will be even worse. Keremeos damage about the same as Oliver.
Norton says apple and peach blossom damage could be bad as well.
There were three cold nights in April (shown left) and on May 1st it was minus 1.3 at 6am
