Basketball coach Mo Basso is planning on taking 9-12 high school boys to a high level basketball training camp at Gonzaga University in Washington state – but he needs permission from the Board of Trustees.
The four day event will end June 28 – with a guarantee of many games, much coaching and a great experience for the Hornets – juniors and seniors.
The attendees will head for Spokane June 25. Other local teams attending include Clarence Fulton of Vernon, Westsyde Secondary in Kamloops and Pleasant Valley of Armstrong.
Basso says “this will be invaluable experience for me to be surrounded by such great coaching staff” ~ “for the kids it will be an experience they will cherish and a great learning experience”. Basso says the trip will cost $5000 but will covered by the students and fund raising.
