Oliver Farmers’ Market is getting ready for a new season. To try and satisfy the needs of all Oliver residents, the market will open twice every Thursday, starting Thursday, June 27th.
The usual morning market will be from 8.00am until11.00am, for those early morning shoppers. To meet the needs of our residents who work during the day, we will hold a second market from 4.00pm until 7.00pm. There will be vendors selling light meals and snacks, so a picnic in the park can be part of your Thursday evening pleasure, followed by Music in the Park at 6.30. A perfect way to spend a few pleasant hours in the summer evening.
We are looking for new vendors who can attend at either or both of the Thursday markets. Vendor attendance can be as a regular weekly vendor or just one or two markets to sell your excess fruits or veggies. Have you been making crafts over the winter months, then this is the perfect outlet for your talents, Goods have to be either home grown, home made, home baked or home crafted in some way.
Anyone wishing to be a vendor must join the Farmers’ Market Association, under who’s umbrella we operate. The cost for this is $10.00 per year.
If you are interested in being a vendor for some or all of the market dates, please call Pat at 485-0010 or email oliverfarmersmarket@gmail.com The farmers’ market is a fun place to sell and a great place to shop for the freshest fruit and veggies, beautifully crafted items and fresh pies and other baked goods.
