Tuesday, Fairview Golf member Dan Rasmussen scored a rare hole-in-one on #9 during Senior Men’s play.
The reason why this was so rare is that it was not on a 3-par hole where nearly all aces occur, but on a dogleg par-4 hole playing 340 yards to a difficult blue pin position at the back of the green partially blocked by a large hill.
This is only the third hole-in-one scored on a par 4 hole in the course’s 88 year history. The other two, also on the same hole, were made by Jordan Martin of Oliver in 2005 and Greg McArthur of Penticton in 2009.
