I did something special for my mom this year on Mother’s Day.
I built a garden in our backyard in secret behind a shed where a giant pile of rubble was located.
This was all done when my mom was in Vancouver for the weekend.
So I decided it was time.
My grandpa, Elroy Pankratz and I cleared it all out, and built two garden beds and an upper bed to plant corn.
It was back-breaking sweat-dripping sun-burning work but after a long time working it’s good to grow!!!
We planted peas, corn, strawberries, lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, blackberries, raspberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, and seed potatoes.
It took us over 4 hours a day for 3 days.
