Linda Larson declared elected by Global BC before 10 o’clock Tuesday. That television network declared a Liberal majority government despite weeks and months of polls saying the NDP would win big.

In Boundary Similkameen  Linda Larson took the riding receiving 46.34 per cent of the vote to the NDP’s Sam Hancheroff 39.28 per cent.

Green candidate John Kwasnica won 8.74 per cent. Independent candidate Mischa Popoff won 3.59 per cent – Doug Pederson received 2.06%

In Penticton Mayor Dan Ashton took the riding receiving 45.83% of the vote to the  NDP’s Dick Cannings 40.30 percent.

Doug Maxwell BC First 4.62% and Sean Upshaw Conservative 9.25%
