Bill Vander Zalm, former B.C. Premier and leader of the successful anti-HST campaign, has endorsed Mischa Popoff, an independent conservative candidate in Boundary-Similkameen.
Popoff was dropped by B.C. Conservative Leader John Cummins for what Cummins said were “insensitive and disrespectful” comments about single mothers. Now Vander Zalm has weighed in supporting Popoff in the May 14 provincial election.
“I’ve been watching Mischa Popoff’s campaign for MLA”
“I’m confident the constituents of this riding, appreciate a candidate who says what he believes”
“Popoff has my endorsement and every wish for success in the upcoming provincial election.”
