Contract Employment Opportunity – Administrative Assistant
Desert Valley Hospice Society is currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual to fulfill a part time administrative contract of approximately 12 hours per week on a long term basis.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent multi-tasker who is able to work independently and has fabulous attention to detail. Strong basic computer skills are a must; preference will be given to someone with excellent computer skills. Flexibility in the work place setting and hours a must. A sampling of job tasks includes:
– Record meeting minutes and coordinating meeting documentation
– Manage donor, membership, and volunteer lists
– Respond to calls and inquiries
– Draft key correspondence, manage mailings as necessary
– Provide support for special projects and fundraising events
– Implement donor recognition strategy
Desert Valley Hospice Society is an independent non-profit that supports excellence in end-of-life care for the residents of Oliver and Osoyoos. DVHS’ overarching goal is to ensure the provision of high quality, timely and accessible end of life care services for individuals at end of life and their families. In addition to advocating for excellence in the delivery of hospice palliative and end of life care services, we raise funds to support the provision of six dedicated hospice beds.
