Time: Shortly after 9am Saturday
Where: Trailers north of and at rear of older farm house east of Hwy 97 down hill at Rd six. House not properly identified with civic number (actual address) 376 Road Six)
Seen at scene: 1 policeman, traffic division, 1 lady in housecoat, two cyclists. No report of any injuries. 1 occupant of trailer taken to hospital for observation. No known injuries other than shock. Lady in home said cyclist knocked on door to say large trailer at rear on fire.
Hot blaze – burned fast. Oliver Fire Department responded quickly with hose from fire hydrant at Highway. Small house-trailer, truck and car near fire not damaged or threatened. Rural setting.

Flames had quickly engulfed the structure, but the fire department said no one was inside at the time of the blaze.
“It wasn’t safe enough for us to go inside,” said Oliver firefighter Rob Graham. “It was an exterior attack.”
“It is difficult being that it’s a trailer. There’s a lot of insulation in the floor. It moved from one end of the trailer to the other fairly quickly.”
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
