Final details are coming together for the 7h annual Hike for Hospice, and it’s shaping up to be a great event. Hosted by Desert Valley Hospice Society in partnership with the Interior Savings Credit Unions, the Hike will raise funds to support excellence in end-of-life care.
“The Hike for Hospice is an important fundraiser for DVHS, and a key opportunity to share our goals and work with the community,” says DVHS President, Janet Shaw. “We’ve been so delighted by Oliver and Osoyoos’ commitment to this event over the years, and we hope that once again, we’ll have many citizens from our communities out to join us for a fun and worthwhile event.”
Registration begins at Oliver Lions Park at 10:30 am. The 1, 5 or 10 km walk / run begins at 11:30 along the Oliver Hike and Bike Trail. Individuals, community or business teams are invited to participate.
MAY 5th
Pledge forms are available at the Interior Savings Credit Unions in OK Falls, Oliver and Osoyoos, and participants are encouraged to fill the forms with pledges for this worthy cause. Participants who do not collect pledges may register for the walk / run on the day of the event for $10. The Oliver Kiwanis will be serving hot dogs and drinks.
Bring your family, friends, colleagues and neighbours, and let’s once again show off what enormous hearts Oliver and Osoyoos residents have for their communities!
