A group of devoted gardeners got together at the Oliver Community Garden this past weekend to wake up the gardens for the new growing season. We’re very excited to welcome some new gardeners as well as our returning ones. There are only three garden beds left for private rental if anyone is interested!
The students at Oliver Elementary are already planting seeds in their classrooms in preparation for planting at the Community Garden, while Tuc-El-Nuit Elementary students are taking on the project of building their own gardens at the school this year. We’re hoping to see the students from SOSS join us in the garden soon, too.
We’ve also started to plan this year’s Bloomin’ Plant Sale, which will be held on Saturday, May 25th and welcome any donations of plants or other garden items. All proceeds from the sale go to help keep our garden growing!
Happy Gardening!
