On April 18th, an Osoyoos Police Officer on patrol noted a male driving a car while talking on his cell phone. A traffic stop was done and the officer detected an odor of liquor from the Driver. A breath demand was made which resulted in two “Warn” readings from the Driver. As a result the 59 year old male driver from Victoria received a 3 day Immediate Roadside Prohibition
On April 19th, while conducting a road block Police encountered a 21 year old man from Chilliwack who had blood shot eyes and strong odor of liquor emanating from his breathe. A demand was made which resulted in the man providing two “Fail” samples of his breath on an approved screening device. As a result the man’s vehicle was impounded and he received a 90 Immediate Roadside Prohibition.
On April 20th, the Osoyoos RCMP received a report of an attempted break and enter into a residence along 41st St. It did not appear that the thieves had entered the house but markings and damage were found on windows.
