Community Heritage Manager Tracy Johnson in the collection display room at the Oliver Museum – with three typewriters from various periods of history dating back to the 40’s with one artifact on the left.
After June 1st the public will be invited to see some of the collection of thousands of items now in a database but more importantly asked to help with the conundrum – what to do with artifacts that are significant to the area and those that are not.
Museum will be open to the public Tuesday to Saturday 10-4pm after the 8th of June.
Archives continues to be open on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only 9 to 4pm
Johnson has been at the helm for 10 months and her successes she says are related to process: 3000 artifact records in the database and the renovations on the Museum are almost complete. All of those accomplishments with a lot of volunteer work which she appreciates.
