Rod Kitt of SOSS presents Brady Houle with a cheque for $1000 from the Ministry of Education for the completion of one phase of his carpenter apprenticeship program at Okanagan College.
Brady worked for Greyback Construction at the high school rebuild for 900 hours, maintained a C+ average and graduated last year – the key ingredients for getting the bursary for the costs of education. A lot of those hours while high school classes in session and he was paid as well. Two other students received the same award – one in Osoyoos and another in Keremeos.
A programme with many rewards.
