Introduction by Fortis of the two-rate conservation rate structure, mandated by BC Utilities Commission, has impacted many electricity users with no alternative heat like natural gas or burning wood.

Many residents throughout the Regional District Okanagan Similkameen have been hard hit even during a relatively mild winter: they are frustrated and feel they are not being listened to, and they are organizing a rally for tomorrow.

A group of concerned citizens from throughout the Similkameen and Okanagan has organized to meet and begin a petition signing at 3pm on Sunday, April 21 in Oliver at the Legion.
