We heard various comments about the day and time of the market, last year, and we have listened.

The move to Thursday was to try and attract more vendors, who want to go to Penticton’s market on Saturdays.  This year, to try and accommodate both clients and vendors, we have decided to try a new approach.  The market will still be on Thursdays at 8.00am until 11.00am for those early morning shoppers, but we will have an additional market on Thursday evening, from 4.00pm to 7.00pm.

This later market is for the convenience of working people and will also be convenient for those people who wish to attend “Music in the Park” on Thursday evening.

All vendors have the choice of attending both markets or to chose either morning or evening.  We hope that the new hours will encourage both customers and vendors to attend.

New vendors are always welcome and applications will be available at the Annual General Meeting, scheduled for May 6th, 7.00pm in the Oliver Community Centre.  After that, the forms will be available at oliverfarmersmarket@gmail.com

Our farmers’ market is a wonderful spot to pick up the freshest fruit and veggies, fresh herbs and flowers, delicious salad dressings, fresh pies and other baked goods and various other crafts from local vendors.

The first market will coincide with the first fruits, date to be announced soon.  Please support your local market.
