BC Parks Service –  – The KVR trail (trestles) between Myra Station
parking lot and Ruth Station parking lot are closed until further notice due to
a damaged trestle and rock fall hazards.

A rock slide has caused major damage to one of the 18 trestles in Myra Canyon.

Significant damage sustained by trestle #3 – third one in from the Ruth parking lot.

Boulders as large as small vehicles came down the side of the hill and took out some of the underpinnings below the trestle deck  –  it is sagging toward one end of the trestle.

The area is closed while BC Parks bring in a geo-technical engineering expert to assess the damage and determine the best course of action.

This is not the first time the Myra Canyon Trestles have been closed due to slide activity.
