Boil Water Order – Terminated

Town of Oliver Water Utility has received more clean samples and have been in consultation with Interior Health and agreed to terminate the Boil Water Notice. This is effective immediately.

In consultation with Interior Health, The Town of Oliver is terminating the boil water notice that was issued on April 5, 2013, effective immediately.  Turbidity has cleared and water samples collected from our water system indicate that it is no longer necessary to boil water prior to consumption.

The Town has received consecutive good samples, taken from various areas in town and System #1 (north of Town) and we have consulted our  Interior Health Environmental Health Officer for this decision.

Staff will also be working on more and new messaging to help get the information out to more people in a timely manner, in the coming months. We have gathered some suggestions to help create a more effective process in case this were to occur again.
