Local  Artists participating in Award-Winning Play ”The Vagina  Monologues”

As part of the  award winning play “The Vagina Monologues” coming up on April 6, a group of  local artists will show their paintings the day of the performance.  

The support from  the Quail’s Nest artists has been very enthusiastic and the Art Show will  include pieces from 4 to 96 years old artists. The majority of them women. 

“The Vagina  Monologues” is an award-winning play written by author playwright Eve Ensler and  it is full of humor and grace. For more than 12 years, The Vagina Monologues has  given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in  public. 

The paintings  that will be on display represent the idea and the feelings of being a woman,  and from different viewpoints.

From the  proceedings of the play, ninety per cent of the profits will go to local Desert  Sun Counselling and Resource Centre, which has programs to help women and girls.  The other ten percent goes to V-Day, our parent organization which uses funds  towards raising awareness about abuse.

The Art Show  will be at the lobby of the Osoyoos Secondary School Theatre, where the  performance of The Vagina Monologues will be held on April 6 at 7 PM.
