Brian Douglas Louie, 34, says he has a new lawyer and needs time to consult with him.

Louie, a resident of Oliver was found guilty of aggravated sexual assault and assault causing bodily harm December 13th of last year and he was to have been sentenced early in the new year.

The incident occurred on the Indian Reserve last May. A provincial court JP has adjourned any further court discussion for two weeks.

Louie had asked the court for a change of venue and a new lawyer. Louie told the court today he had retained the services of Kamloops lawyer Jeremy Jensen but will appear via video from the Kamloops Jail until a sentencing date is finalized.
