Robert Linttell speaking at Road 13 Estate Winery on SOCC transportation issues
Shuttle service to Kelowna Airport:
He says there is consensus that a bus service would help bring tourists and visitors to our area.
A business plan is to be prepared by an accredited third party providing stakeholders and the various municipal and district government key information.
Linttell is the SOCC designated representative on the Kelowna International Airport Advisory Committee . About 35 people attended the SOCC After Business meeting at Road 13 Winery last night.
Stakeholders agree a regular shuttle bus service would be a good idea considering the South Okanagan attracts tourists from across the province, across Canada and around the world, said Linttell.
Development of Osoyoos Airport:
Linttell told the Chamber that a number of business desire to have an airport in the south Okanagan that can cater to charter air passengers. He says the Oliver Airport has some deficits and Osoyoos has some positives but needs investment to make it happen.
