I saw comet PanSTARRS for the first time this evening, my location was the top end of Meadowlark Lane off Blacksage Rd.
If you wish to see the comet, you will need binoculars to find it low in the west after sunset, I took this photo at 8:00 pm with the camera set to manual exposure f6.3, 1 sec exposure ISO800 with a telephoto lens attached to the camera.
To find the comet at the top of Meadowlark Lane, look across the valley to the red aircraft warning light and the comet is just above the horizon at 8:00 pm and sets about 10 minutes later. a low horizon is needed for the sky to darken enough to locate the comet. By driving up to the Anarchist lookout above Osoyoos or even higher up to Eaglepoint Road off Hwy 3 at 3700 ft gives a good low horizon.
