Still no real answer from John Cummins and the BC Conservative Party.
Is Mischa Popoff your candidate in Boundary Similkameen?
Popoff told us January 26th he was the leader of the Individual Rights Party and he was running locally.
On February 24 Popoff did a number of YouTube spots for the BC Conservative Party saying he was the candidate. Today he sent me an email from Jeff Bridge which said Popoff was the Conservative candidate. Not a very official looking message. None of my inquiries have confirmed that and no picture and bio on the BC Conservative website showing its candidates and no official press release from the party.
Hear are some quotes from Mischa Popoff:
“Our party (Individual Rights Party) rejects Christy-Clark totalitarianism as much we reject Adrian-Dix and John-Cummins totalitarianism. It will be an interesting race given all the candidates who’ve already resigned or been denied/booted-out from the traditional parties. – ODN Feb 2013
Mischa Popoff, former fundraising chair for (Stockwell Day) Mr. Day, is so outraged he’s resigning from the party. “This is a clear abuse of the electoral process,” he said Wednesday. “Dan Albas wins the nomination and democracy is officially DOA here in Okanagan-Coquihalla.” – September 2012
The Christian Heritage Party of British Columbia (formerly the British Columbia Heritage Party) is a minor provincial political party. The party advocates in favour of establishing a constitution to govern the province. A leadership election was held in 2011 between Wilf Hanni and Mischa Popoff, in which Hanni was re-confirmed as leader. Following internal party disputes, several members left to join the Individual Rights Party of British Columbia, including Mischa Popoff who became that party’s leader. – source Wikipedia
BC Conservative First vice president Mischa Popoff announced his resignation from the B.C. Conservative Party yesterday, saying he can no longer represent what has become a “full blown pro-HST party.” – June 2010
