Over 50 women turned up to play for a good cause – the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Determined that the struggle against AIDS will not be sacrificed on the altar of international financial turbulence, grassroots groups like this one continue to raise money to help fund worthy programs bringing hope to thousands upon thousands of women, grandmothers, orphans and vulnerable children. This event netted over $1000 for the cause.

Brian MacDonald, Director of Golf at Fairview Mountain Golf Course, and his staff were exceptionally helpful and provided a beautiful setting as well as a donation of all the tea and coffee. A tasty lunch was served by Oliver Grandmothers for Africa. One lucky lady went home with $85 from the 50/50 draw.
