Lights, cameras, action – sizeable crowd for Oliver event at the Royal Canadian Legion. Sponsored by the RDOS communities of Princeton, Keremeos, Osoyoos and Oliver and the rural areas that surround them – MP Alex Atamanenko presented Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee awards to a 8 recipients.

Nominated by the Federation of Canadian Muncipalities – Mayors Stu Wells and Ron Hovanes both received Diamond Jubilee medals.

One local good citizen Jim Ouelette receives award from Atamanenko.

Jim is flanked by RCMP Cpl. Mike Field who received his honour some months ago and Ashley Hiibner, Youth Ambassador.
