MP Alex Atamanenko has announced the names of those individuals in the South Okanagan Similkameen area who are to receive the QEII Diamond Jubilee Medal.
He has awarded medals to 6 individuals: Brian Lobb, Solana Allison, Kim Schur, Beryl Wallace, Charles Finch and James Ouellette. Alex will be awarding the medals in a ceremony in Oliver on February 21st.
Kim Schur is associated with the Oliver Air Cadets
Mayor Ron Hovanes will also be presented with the same medal after being nominated by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
