Prince George RCMP says Lloyd William Cook is in custody, after being arrested on an outstanding warrant in Osoyoos today and will be transported back to Prince George to be sentenced in court sometime this week.
Corporal Douglass, says, as a result of information provided to police, Cook was arrested at a residence in the south Okanagan community this morning.
A warrant was issued for Cook’s arrest when he failed to appear in court to face four charges in connection with the death of 13-year-old Adam Scott Williams-Dudoward.
After ruling Cook was an ‘absconder’ earlier in the week, BC Supreme Court Justice Glen Parrett delivered his verdict in the trial Feb. 1st finding Cook not guilty of manslaughter and criminal negiligence causing death, but finding Cook guilty of unlawful confinement and interference with a dead body.
The judge had deferred handing down sentence until Cook could be located.
