Area D Town Hall meeting for Okanagan Falls/Kaleden was held Wednesday night with an outline of how local taxes will be affected by RDOS services and programmes.
RDOS says programmes will cost 9.65% more than in 2012 – with Ok Falls Recreation up 121,000$ and Kaleden Recreation up 76,000$ year to year.
Fire Protection in OK Falls and Kaleden hold steady in costs.
Overall tax requisition increases by 214822$ to a grand total of $2,439,859
Topics raised at the meeting include transfer of Christie Memorial to the RDOS.
Problems with roads, Argo and Ministry of Transportation were mentioned but incorporation of OK Falls seemed not to be a top priority.
