Osoyoos RCMP
On January 21, 2013 the Osoyoos RCMP put out an media release regarding a Town of Osoyoos pick up truck being stolen and later recovered. A 37 year old male was facing charges for stealing the 1992 Chevrolet pick up as well as Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 and was released on a Promise to Appear in court.
On February 02, 2013 the Osoyoos RCMP received new reports that the same male was again spotted driving the same Town of Osoyoos truck. The male was located in possession of the truck while driving in Penticton and was remanded in custody to appear in court on February 4th and 5th to answer to the original charges as well as additional charges of Theft and Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000.
Cary James NORMAN was found guilty on both thefts and sentenced to 90 days in jail and one year probation.
