Peter Guenther

September 29, 1921 – January 25, 2013

On Friday, January 25, 2013, Mr. Peter P. Guenther of Penticton passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 91 years.

He was predeceased by his wife Eva R. Guenther and son Henry Guenther.

Peter is fondly remembered by his loving family including daughters Kathy, Margaret, Anna, Helena, Eva, Mary, Nettie and Chris and sons Jake, John, Peter, Frank and David as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.

Over the years, Peter worked as a farmer in Mexico raising livestock and growing tomatoes and cotton. He also owned and ran a cheese factory in Mexico. In Canada he was employed at a concrete factory and then went into carpentry. As a young man, he took a tractor apart and put it back together just to see how it worked.

Later in life, Peter enjoyed paint by number, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and bowling and golf on the Wii.

He will be missed by all who knew him.
