I caught up to Mark Faschefsky at the home of Bob and Susan Dyck in Oliver. Mark is heading back to eastern Europe to his work in helping children and young adults in orphanages in the Moldova area at Transnistria.*
Today, the Rotary Club of Oliver presented a cheque in the amount of $2500 to this cause – one that it continues to support through the efforts of its members locally.
If you want to help – you are encouraged to speak to Bob Ellis or call him to support the ministry of “For the Least of These”.
Some contact information is also available below the map shown here. Mark says the money is earmarked for transitional work of getting young adults out of the orphanages and located to a better and normal environment.
* Transnistria is an independent self-proclaimed sovereign state in the south-eastern part of Europe. It borders with Moldova and Ukraine.
