We wish to thank Mrs. Kovacs’ group of volunteers for their donation to the Palliative Care rooms at SOGH. This time they donated a beautiful chair that allows family members to sit or even sleep comfortably beside their loved one.
Their cause is inspired by the memories of Steve Kovacs.
The chair has been available for less than a week and we already received comments from a family who benefited from the chair/recliner Mrs. Kovacs’ group from Osoyoos donated. The family members’ words were “this comfy chair (also recliner) allowed us to sit comfortably for many hours at my dad’s bedside and even have a nap right beside him while keeping an eye on him”.
The Goat Ladies group is made up of: Elaine Ecker, Marilyn Murphy, Anne Petrin, Anne Zaholuk, Bernie Erickson, Chris Liebel, Vi Kovacs and Kathy Bourget.
Here on the picture we had Anne Petrin and Chris Liebel with the newly purchased chair. You will notice that each donation from Mrs. Kovacs’ group comes with a beautiful quilt this time made by Maureen Wood of the Osoyoos Quilters.
We want to warmly thank Mrs. Kovacs and her group for generously donating to the SOGH Palliative Care rooms and help improve patients and families experience. Donations can be given specifically to SOGH Palliative Care rooms or any other cause by contacting Lorri Depourcq at 250-498-5051.
