Two contenders?

In 2011 when the NDP were looking for a quality candidate – three persons put their name forward:

Marji Basso
Rhonda Bruce
Brian Taylor

Now that Basso is not running for the NDP – the other two have expressed an interest in taking on that role for the election in May.

Brian Taylor is the Mayor of Grand Forks and Rhonda Bruce is a health worker in Oliver.
No official papers have been filed to make them party candidates and the NDP executive is rushing towards an early date to hold a nomination meeting – probably Saturday March 9th (six weeks away)bruce
