Master Corporal Jim Stewart, CD (Retired) receives award

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAPresident Sharon Dagenais of Oliver Legion Branch 97, was honoured to present to Master Corporal  James W. Stewart, CD (Retired) of Oliver, the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal (CPSM).

The CPSM recognizes Jim’s valuable contribution to world peace while serving with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus from Sept 1, 1988 to March 1989 and with the United Nations Protection Force (UNFPROFOR) in the former Yugoslavia from Oct 1, 1992 to April 1 1993.

A letter received from C. Gauthier, Major, offered sincere congratulations as well as our appreciation of his service to country.
