Oliver RCMP received an On-Star report of a two vehicle collision near Mt. Baldy ski hill. No injuries were reported, however the two vehicles were damaged and required tows. On arrival at a sharp bend in the road, approximately 34 km up Camp McKinney Rd, police located two pickup trucks, both with extensive front end damages. Driver of vehicle at fault confirmed that he was coming down the hill too fast, came around a corner, lost control, and hit the second vehicle head on. The charged driver of the 2008 GMC Sierra PU and his passenger confirmed that they were uninjured but shaken. Driver of the second vehicle (2012 Ford F-150) advised that he had minor chest pain from seatbelt and his skin was irritated from air bag deployment. Road conditions at the time coupled with poor all-season tires and failing to keep right were all considerations in this crash.
