The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died as a result of a fatal incident at a construction site south of Oliver on Thursday Jan. 10, 2013.
The man is Sheldon Skolos, aged 27, from Oliver. His facebook site indicates he attended SOSS.
Mr. Skolos had been assisting a forklift operator in transporting a load of OSB when the incident occurred at “The Cottages” near Osoyoos Lake south of Rd 22.
Emergency personnel attended the scene of the incident and confirmed Skolos deceased.
The BC Coroners Service and WorkSafe BC continue to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Skolos has been notified of his death. The BC Coroners Service expresses its condolences to the family and friends.
Skolos had been assisting a forklift operator in transporting construction materials.
Eric Van Maren, managing partner of The Cottages on Osoyoos Lake, said “we are shocked about the accident and our thoughts and prayers are with the deceased person”.
