Please inform your readers that Santa will be at Oliver’s Kiwanis Market Saturday, December 15, 2012, to give good boys & girls a candy cane. He will be there 8:30 AM until 12:30 in the afternoon.

Christmas Village at “The Pines”
Come and share the Christmas Spirit at Unit # 120 in Country Pines Retirement Community, 8487 Highway 97. Jeff and Gloria Luypen have been collecting items for their village for over 10 years, to the point where it is now too big for the house and we have had to move it to the garage. Check out our Christmas Village with over 50 shops and houses, hundreds of trees,trains and accessories. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served to one and all who drop by. The Display will be open for viewing on December 13th, 14th 15th 20th 21st and 22nd from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We will also have a donation box to collect for the food bank.

Blue Christmas Service Sunday December 23 7:00 p.m. Oliver Lutheran Centre (formerly St John’s Lutheran) 6431 Okanagan St at Veteran’s Ave. A quiet, ecumenical candlelight service for those feeling “blue” at Christmas time. Oliver Elks Lodge #267 – Santa and the Kids
Santa is coming to the Elks Lodge Dec. 24th at 4:30pm – bring a wrapped gift with name on for your child or grandchild and Santa will be glad to give it to them. He has a lot of stops to make. See you there.
Oliver air cadets are going to be selling Christmas Trees again. this year.
We will be at Valley Vineyard Supply Just north of town. 38640 Hwy 97. December 15, 16 and December 22, 23 from 10am to 4pm We offer good music, good cheer, hot chocolate and hot dogs. The trees are mostly Blue Spruce, they are absolutely gorgeous. For more information:
