Hello all crokinole friends,
There has been some concern as to what was going to happen to the BC Crokinole Tournament because of Oliver Park and Rec.’s decision to turn it back to us to run. Joyce and myself, along with the support of the players, had made this event one of the most exciting, largest, fun crokinole events next to Tavistock, drawing players from across Canada and the USA.
My health condition has deteriorated to the point where Joyce has had to become full time care giver, leaving two key places vacant. After much consideration I have decided to ask Ed Ripley to take on the task of looking after Crokinole Players of BC and the BC tournament.
Ed is a very successful businessman and has been one of the tournament’s strongest supporters. Ed and his team have organized a crokinole club in Summerland that has produced several division title holders in the BC event. With Ed and the expertise of his team, I’m confident that the BC Tournament will continue to be the one crokinole event to attend for pure crokinole pleasure.
Please welcome Ed and support him and his team in this important transition.
Watch for the registration form for the 5th Annual BC Open Crokinole Tournament that you should be receiving soon. It will help them tremendously if you would share these forms with other crokinole players and get yourself registered as soon as possible.
