Margaret Adams

May 15, 1921 – December 1, 2012

On Saturday December 1st, Mrs. Margaret Adams passed away in hospital surrounded by family at the age of 91 years.   She was predeceased by her son Arnie Nyeholt in 1949, first husband Dick Nyeholt in 1977, second husband Pastor J.A.B. Adams in 1993 and her brother John Lahaise.   She is survived by her sons Robert (Rose) Nyeholt of Vancouver and Richard (Elaine) Nyeholt of  Port Clements, grandchildren, Weston (Nicole) McGee of Prince George, Matt (Chloe) Nyeholt of Port Clements and Dana Nyeholt of Dohe, Qatar; great-grandchildren, Willemina and Quinley Nyeholt.

Over the years Margaret owned Glenone Dairy in Trail and the Bellflower Motel in Oliver. Margaret  also worked at the Monashee packinghouse in Osoyoos. She enjoyed several trips to Europe and the western U.S. as well as Hawaii.   Margaret was a dedicated member of Valley Congregational Church and was a volunteer member of Sunday School Mission and the Osoyoos Thrift Store (Community Living)   She was known for her gift of hospitality and entertaining, crossword puzzles, playing scrabble and cards.   Graveside service will be at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery on Tuesday December 4th at 12:30 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 4th at Valley Congregational Christian Church.   Arrangements entrusted to Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Service & Crematorium, Oliver & Osoyoos.
