RECOMMENDATION:
2. That discussion on compliance of D12-08023.000 with the Sub-Regional Growth Strategy be referred to the meeting of 10 January 2013.
Roberts Rules states that no resolution shall be reconsidered more than once on the same question, nor shall a vote to reconsider be reconsidered.
Background: This is land matter involving a 12 unit subdivision of land just south of the Vaseux Lake corner – which is located adjacent to the Nature Trust and the foreshore of the lake. At the regular board – Directors voted in favour of NOT imposing RGS (Regional Growth Strategy) standards on the land.
The manner would have to go through a council of rural directors in the rezoing stage but if the matter is reconsidered – it could be stopped in its tracks.
Oliver’s rural director Allan Patton has brought this matter back for reconsideration – if the vote to reconsider is passeed Thursday – directors would study the issue over the Christmas season and debate it in January.
Yes or No – will the directors say No the decision is made OR?
