Wow, where did the time go. We are coming to the anniversary of Brittany’s transplant and things are going great! So far no rejection and her heart is getting stronger everyday. She will have to go back to Children’s Hospital for check-ups but so far everything is working out just great.
We wanted to say thank you to each and everyone who has helped in anyway possible and those who continue to help.
It’s never easy to go through a terrible event but with all the love and support this community has shown us its unbelievable and we wish we could thank each and everyone personally but know that will never happen.
To the community, Oliver Hospital and all the businesses, groups and clubs, the workplaces for both of us – you have been so supportive. To Tuc-el-nuit Elementary and SOSS who have helped out in every way they can. To strangers who don’t even know us and an extra big thank you to Gracy Pylatuk who is our kids’ other mom and Sheralee Duncan from Eastside Grocery you are such a great person with a heart of gold.
December 1st we will be celebrating another birthday for Brittany as this is when she received her gift of life. This town rallied together when people are in crisis and we are so proud to call Oliver – our home.
Thank you very much Oliver – Bernie and Shawna Michaud
