These are just a few of the groups who have been involved with this program here in Oliver.
Above – Tuc-El-Nuit Elementary (boxes donated by students and their families) and Mrs. Allison’s and Mrs. Stene’s grade 6/7 class who headed up the project.
OES – Mr. Shurburne’s grade 6/7 class ( boxes donated from the whole school, students and their families)Oliver Alliance Church was the main collection centre for this program and volunteers were packing up the shoe boxes for shipment. Many churches, community groups, schools and individuals were involved in making this shoebox campaign happen and in total, over 650 boxes were collected from the community. Boxes will be sent overseas to children in need and are filled with items such as school supplies, hygiene items and toys and other gifts.
