A green older model SUV crashed into a hydro pole one mile north of Oliver at about 1:45 Wednesday afternoon. Police, fire and EMS responded. Traffic affected until Fortis could turn off the power to splintered pole which is still standing.

No known reason for the single vehicle crash, no knowledge of the seriousness of injuries. It appeared the northbound vehicle  knocked into the pole and then bounced back by about 20 feet and landed on the side of the road.
