Perkins, Josephine Lavina (nee Topping) – October 25, 1924 to November 14, 2012.  It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jo Perkins.  Josie was predeceased by her husband, Bill in 1992; her only son, Scott in 1966; brothers, Dick and Ron; sisters, Doreen and Ruby and her parents, Joe and Amy Topping.  She leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law, Mona and Ed Dede and her stepdaughter, Marion Garland and family.  She has many nieces and nephews all of whom were included in her life as her special family.  We all enjoyed her spirit of adventure and the wonderful stories of her travels.  She had a sccessful career with CIBC,…

Perkins, Josephine Lavina (nee Topping) – October 25, 1924 to November 14, 2012.  It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jo Perkins.  Josie was predeceased by her husband, Bill in 1992; her only son, Scott in 1966; brothers, Dick and Ron; sisters, Doreen and Ruby and her parents, Joe and Amy Topping.

She leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law, Mona and Ed Dede and her stepdaughter, Marion Garland and family.  She has many nieces and nephews all of whom were included in her life as her special family.  We all enjoyed her spirit of adventure and the wonderful stories of her travels.  She had a sccessful career with CIBC, retiring as a Bank Manager in Vancouver.  She loved to sing and dance and topped it all with a wonderful sense of humour.  We will miss her.  Our heartfelt thanks goes to the care givers at Sunnybank – “You truly are angels on earth.”  A Celebration of Jo’s life will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at the Oliver United Church at 3:30 p.m.  Rev.
