The Osoyoos RCMP received a report that sometime on the night of Nov 6th someone spray painted graffiti on the washroom wall of the Legion beach. Police have an ongoing investigation to identify and charge the person(s) responsible for this vandalism. Anyone who has information regarding this graffiti is encouraged to call the Osoyoos RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
On November 7th, Police attended at a pedestrian hit and run on Main Stand72nd Ave, Osoyoos. An 88 year old female from Osoyoos had been struck in the middle of the crosswalk and the Ford Ranger truck continued to drive from the scene. Police located the truck a short distance away and identified the 89 year old female driver from Osoyoos. The driver did not realize she had struck the pedestrian. The driver was charged for Driving Without Due Care and Attention and a Driver License re-examination has been requested. The pedestrian is in hospital with a fractured hip and stitches.
On November 7th, at 6:00 pm, Police received a report that a black 2008 Ford Ranger with BC Licence Plate EJ1252, had been stolen from 7200 Cottonwood. This is the second vehicle stolen from this location in a week.
On November 11th, Police were called to a report of 2 males possibly causing damage by hitting metal on a building97th Stand62nd Ave. Osoyoos RCMP members attended and located two subjects in the area with no damage being observed. One of the males was extremely intoxicated and was arrested. The 23 year old male from Oliver was lodged in cells and released when sober with a Violation Ticket for being Intoxicated in Public.
