Today (November 10th) our Mom turns 80! We asked people who know her to send her a card in the mail. After not checking the mail for a week, the Post Office staff had to hold cards in the back for her, because there were more than sixty cards mailed to her….so far! One Post Office employee commented that he had “never seen anybody receive more birthday cards!” We are so thankful to all who participated, (and apologize to those who we couldn’t get in touch with. But it’s not too late!) Here’s a copy of the note we sent out, and a picture of some of her haul. If you have time to include it in your publication, I know she’d appreciate it. (Yesterday she said “I wouldn’t be surprised if Jack gets this into the Oliver Daily News.)
